Seaspray Valuations & Fine Jewellery also offers its customers a flexible custom jewellery design process utilising computer aided design (CAD). Customers may choose the type of stone, the shape, the colour, the metal quality and the mount. Using the specialist software, David and Julie show customers a three-dimensional image of exactly what the finished product will look like. Customers are invited to sit down in store and become part of this unique creative design process, providing them a very personal and interactive experience.
In light of their history on the Central Coast, Seaspray Valuations & Fine Jewellery is very proud to have recently become “The Home of Broken Bay Pearls”. These pearls, which are not bleached or artificially coloured, are grown in the pristine waters of Broken Bay on the Hawkesbury River, the birthplace of the most lustrous Akoya Pearls in the world. David and Julie welcome customers, locals and visitors alike, to come in-store and have a matchless piece custom designed and created with these exquisite Broken Bay Pearls … locally grown … locally and uniquely crafted.
On 29 August 2018, Pearls of Australia announced the winners of the 2018 Australian Pearl Jewellery Design Masters Awards and Seaspray Valuations & Fine Jewellery are thrilled to reveal that, from a record 60 entries, their very own apprentice jewellers, Danielle Shay and Madeleine McDonald, brought home wins! Danielle, a Year 4 Apprentice, took out the Win in the Australian Akoya Award category for her signature piece, “Siren’s Helm”, a handmade ring featuring a spinning ship’s wheel set with a Broken Bay Akoya pearl and one shoulder of the ring is fashioned as a mermaid’s tail with scales and fin. Their Year 2 Apprentice, Madeleine McDonald, was also recognised and received a Highly Commended Award for her “Pearls In Full Bloom” creation, entered in the Apprentice category … the centrepiece bloom of 18 carat yellow and rose gold presents a South Sea Cygnet Bay pearl, extending via white gold branches to two smaller flowers set with Broken Bay Akoya pearls.
With Seaspray Jewellery being “The Home of Broken Bay Pearls”, both Danielle and Madeleine were motivated to design unique creations using these beautiful, locally grown, Australian Akoya pearls. Julie and David and their team are extraordinarily proud of this commitment to excellence and creativity.
Quite apart from having the most impressive and extensive range of ready-made jewellery on the Central Coast, the friendly staff at Seaspray Valuations & Fine Jewellery assist with jewellery repairs and the restoration and remodelling of existing pieces.
