Back story

Maurizio Fenu and his jeweller colleague are specialists in customised jewellery and have a combined forty years’ experience in the jewellery industry.

The jewellery trade runs in Maurizio’s family where his great grand father was a jeweller and watch maker and other relatives also owned jewellery stores. Maurizio began his career in jewellery design and retail in 2004 and knows the Cairns region very well.

Maurizio, together with members of the talented team, bring innovation in custom design jewellery to Cairns and its surrounds in far north Australia.

Specialists in customised jewellery

As well as carrying an extensive range of branded jewellery, the team at Maurizio Jewellery Designs love to design and manufacture jewellery that is unique to each individual customer. Sketches are hand drawn and then the pieces are made using either hand-crafted techniques or CAD technology.

Remodelling

Over time, all jewellery will require the attentions of a skilled jeweller. Maurizio Jewellery Designs will restore a family heirloom to its former glory or remodel a dated or unwanted item. Remodelling is a significant part of Maurizio’s business. All the workmanship is first class and comes with a full Guarantee.

Existing gemstones may be used in an entirely new setting to create a new bespoke jewellery design or be remodelled into an alternative piece. Replacements are sourced for missing or lost stones or match a gemstone for colour and size.
