Wild Trout in Rose Bay, Sydney is owned by David and Cathy Hollanders. David, a qualified jeweller, gemmologist, diamond grader and a diamond and gemstone setter of 33 years’ experience, is joined at the on-site workbench by jewellers, Ivan (36 years’ experience) and Armen both of whom are qualified jewellers. Custom design jewellery is their passion.
Cathy is trained as a book keeper and has also completed GIA (Gemological Institute of America) courses and loves to serve the clients.
All the staff at Wild Trout have a passion for creating stylish pieces with original designs – something beautiful and unique with the customers’ satisfaction at the forefront.
Wild Trout jewellers love to design or remodel jewellery of any style or for all special occasions. Utilising “Rhinogold” and “CounterSketch”, award-winning CAD software from GemVision, customers can easily express their individual creativity by selecting from thousands of styles and settings to develop customised pieces.
The jewellers also use wax carving techniques in their hand made jewellery when appropriate.
The team at Wild Trout love creating custom design jewellery pieces to remember. They get great satisfaction from bringing older jewellery back to its best, or remodelling it into a stunning new item to treasure.

Ivan: “My most satisfying moments come at the end of the process, when I have had the customer’s input from start to finish and they see the completed jewellery for the first time.”
