Back story

Established in 2004, Diamond Boutique is the manifestation of Olivia Keppie’s vision. From her early years as a sole trader, Olivia has built an ever-growing client base. She now has a team of highly skilled, qualified manufacturing jewellers, all of whom share a passion for quality handmade jewellery combined with superior personal service to their clients.

The store in Braddon offers a comfortable workshop and a professional sales and display area. All design and manufacture work is performed on-site, so clients can always talk face to face with the jeweller who is creating their next piece.

Handmade jewellery is superior

Diamond Boutique believes that handmade jewellery is superior to mass produced pieces.

Handmade jewellery takes a great deal of time and focus to create. An important difference between handmade and cast jewellery is in the molecules of the metal. When worked (hammered, tempered and rolled) by hand, metals are made stronger. The molecules become flattened and stacked like a brick wall, thereby giving the molecules a greater surface area with more density and tension. This means that the metal has greater resistance to bending and more durability.

Designing unique jewellery

Everyone at Diamond Boutique believes that jewellery should be unique and loved for generations. The friendly jewellers help articulate customers’ ideas, discuss stone and metal selection and create sketches to show exactly what each piece will look like. CAD (Computer Aided Design) is software which renders a 3-dimensional picture of the masterpiece to be created. Click here for more information from Diamond Boutique. It is a useful tool for customers who find it difficult to visualise the jeweller’s 2 dimensional drawings as a 3-D object.

From simple to elegant, all the way to the artistic or abstract, Diamond Boutique works with each customer to create a unique custom designed piece. Gemmologists and diamond graders are available on hand to discuss the fine details of precious stones with customers.

Restorations, remodelling and/or repairs bring existing or unworn jewellery back to former glory or transform it into something new and unique. Supplementary gold or additional stones can be sourced as required.

Workshop experience for customers

Diamond Boutique also offers a workshop experience to people wishing to make their own wedding rings.
