Back story

Haab Designer Jewellers has over 20 years’ experience in design and manufacture. Tim is a trade qualified jeweller and silversmith and passes on this experience through teaching jewellery design, manufacture and repair at TAFE Tasmania. Diamond designs are a speciality.

At Haab Designer Jewellers, friendly and knowledgeable staff are delighted to assist in creating that exceptional piece, whatever the occasion. It is their passion to please, and they are proud of an award winning personalised service with two generations of jewellers on site for consultations regarding design, repairs, and remodelling.

Experts in diamond designs

Tim and Karen Haab are diamond and pearl specialists with a selection of loose diamonds and pearls available to choose from, when designing a one-of-a-kind piece. Karen and Tim are Antwerp Diamond Brokers, travelling regularly to Belgium, the diamond capital of the world where 80% of the world’s diamonds are traded. Acting as a “personal broker”, they personally select diamonds for their clients, giving their customers optimum choice and value for money.

At Haab Designer Jewellers, a significant proportion of the jewellery sold is made and designed in house. Customers are offered suggestions and ideas on style and suitability.

Bespoke engagement and wedding rings are particularly popular. Years of design experience coupled with a significant design library are the catalysts that assist the staff to create a jewellery masterpiece that is unique. Once agreed upon a design, a choice of gemstones is available.

Restoration and remodelling

Jewellery is used, not only for adornment, but to commemorate life’s milestones. Whether worn daily or just for special occasions, whether a gift, a personal purchase or an heirloom, jewellery will, over time, wear and require the attentions of a skilled jeweller.

Haab Designer Jewellers use existing gemstones to create a completely new setting, to create a design of the customer’s choosing. For example, Haab Designer Jewellers can remodel a ring into a brooch, pendant or earrings.

All items left in store are treated with extreme care and all items are fully covered by insurance whilst in their care.
